مناهج اللغة الإنجليزية وطرق تدريسها بالتعليم العام

توصيف المقرر

يتناول المقرر دراسة تطور تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية بمراحل التعليم العام بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وتحليل محتويات وثيقة مناهج اللغة الانجليزية في التعليم العام, للتعرف على الأسس التربوية لبنائها، ودراسة خطوات تصميم مناهج اللغة الانجليزية، كما يتناول تقويم مناهج اللغة الانجليزية في المراحل الابتدائية والاعدادية والثانوية بالمملكة، ومتطلبات تدريسها، وتحليل مناهج اللغة الانجليزية، وتقويم كتب اللغة الانجليزية وادلة معلمي اللغة الانجليزية، التي تتضمن اساليب وطرق التدريس المتبعة، وفلسفتها واجراءاتها في ضوء أسس المنهج وعناصره (الاهداف، المحتوي، الأساليب والانشطة والتقويم)، كما يتناول نقد الطلاب لمناهج اللغة الانجليزية وكتب اللغة الانجليزية وأادلة المعلمين المقررة في مراحل التعليم العام في ضوء أسس المنهج وعناصره. وفي ضوء نتائج البحوث المنشورة في الدوريات والكتب العلمية ذات الصلة بمناهج اللغة الانجليزية  بالتعليم العام .

English Language Curriculum and its Instruction in General Education

This course deals with the study of the development of English language teaching at the stages of general education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and analyze the contents of the English language curricula document in general education to identify the educational bases for its building and studying the steps of designing English language curricula , it also addresses the evaluation of the English language curricula in the stages of elementary, middle and secondary schools in the Kingdom and the requirements of teaching and analysis the English language curricula and evaluate the English language books and the English language teachers' guide that include the adopted techniques and methods of teaching, the philosophy and procedures in the light of the foundations of curriculum and its components(objectives, content, methods of teaching, activities and evaluation), it also addresses the students' criticism for the English language curricula, books and teachers' guide prescribed in general education in the light of the foundations of curriculum and its components, and also in the light of the results of the published research in journals and scientific books that relevant to the English language curricula in general education.

يتناول هذا المقرر طرح بعض القضايا والمشكلات في تدريس اللغة الانجليزية – المعرفة العلمية (أشكالها وخصائصها) وأساليب تدريسها، التدريس الفعال في اللغة الانجليزية (المعلم، الطالب، المنهج)، معلم اللغة الانجليزية (إعداده وتطوير أدائه) الاتجاهات والميول العلمية، مهارات التدريس الإبداعي في اللغة الانجليزية، إعداد مشروع رسالة الماجستير في مناهج وطرق تدريس اللغة الانجليزية، والتركيز علي نتائج البحوث المنشورة في الدوريات ورسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه ذات الصلة بموضوعات المقرر ومضامينها التربوية في تدريس اللغة الانجليزية، والمشكلات المعالجة فى البحوث التربوية لتدريس اللغة الانجليزية، والتركيز على رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه المعنية بمشكلات مناهج اللغة الانجليزية وطرق تدريسها ومعالجتها.

Issues and Field Problems in Teaching the English Language

This course covers some of the issues and problems in teaching the English language, scientific knowledge (forms and characteristics) , methods of teaching, effective English language teaching (the teacher, learner and curriculum), English language teacher: training, and performance development, attitudes and scientific tendencies, creative English language teaching skills , preparing the master’s thesis project in the English language curriculum and teaching methods, focusing on published research results in periodicals, theses and doctoral dissertations related to the content of the course topics and their educational implications in teaching the English language, problems addressed in educational research related to  teaching the English language, focusing on masters theses and doctoral dissertations related to the English language curriculum and methods of teaching problems and treatment.

يتناول المقرر دراسة الاتجاهات الحديثة لتدريس اللغة الانجليزية، والتعرف على النظريات الحديثة في مجال اكتساب اللغات الأجنبية، وتطبيقاتها من خلال نتائج الأبحاث في مجال تدريس اللغات الأجنبية، ودراسة تحليلية للعوامل المؤثرة في تدريس اللغة الانجليزية في المملكة العربية السعودية، في ضوء الطرق والاتجاهات الحديثة في تدريس اللغة الانجليزية، ودراسة المداخل الحديثة في تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية وبناء مناهجها، مثل المدخل السمعي الشفوي، والمدخل التكاملي، والتركيز على كتابة بحث يعالج مشكلة من واقع تدريس اللغة الانجليزية كلغة أجنبية أو ثانية في المملكة العربية السعودية.

Modern Trends in Teaching the English Language

The course deals with the modern trends in teaching the English language, introducing modern theories  in the field of foreign languages acquisition and their applications through research findings in the field of foreign languages teaching, analytical  study of  the factors affecting teaching English in Saudi Arabia in the light of modern trends and theories in English language teaching, studying modern approaches in teaching and constructing the  English language  curriculum such as the aural/ oral and  integrative approaches, emphasizing  writing research addressing field problems of teaching English as a foreign or second language in Saudi Arabia.
